Our MissionBiodiversity of West Bardhaman (পশ্চিম বর্ধমানের জীববৈচিত্র্য) is biodiversity portal of newly created district of West Bengal: West Bardhaman. This group is extension of Birding Durgapur group. West Bardhaman lies between Chotanagpur Plateau and Gangetic plains, for this reason it is rich in biodiversity. The focus of this group is exploration, documentation and conservation of biodiversity of this district. Till date only in Durgapur we discovered 238 species of birds, 99 species of Butterfly, and about more than 60 species of odonates.. I think this number will be larger if we consider the whole district. We also want to focus on other taxa like plant, mollusc, amphibia, reptiles etc. Need your cooperation to save our nature.
